Zak started designing events at the age of sixteen with a focus on small weddings and social events. As his clientele grew beyond the local area, he expanded his talents to the corporate and non-profit events industry in New York City. Over the past fifteen years, numerous Fortune 500 companies and global non-profit organizations have trusted Zak with designing their events. From small cocktail receptions to large scale galas, Zak focuses on an incredible, unparalleled level of service and an extraordinary commitment to exquisite quality… one event at a time.


Melissa Ricapito

Production Manager

Melissa started her career in the events industry some 25 years ago and hasn’t looked back. Joining the ZAK Events team in 2010, her commitment to producing jaw-dropping designs for our clients never ceases to amaze the eye. Over her extensive career, Melissa has designed events for a long list of celebrities, dignitaries and socialites alike. Today, Melissa heads up our entire production department, ensuring that every detail is executed with flawless precision.


Catie Moor

Lead Event Design Manager

Catie joined our team three years ago as our Lead Event Design Manager, applying her extensive event management knowledge to a specific focus on the logistics of design for our clients. She focuses on making sure every single one of our events is impeccably produced and on schedule, while acting as a liaison to our entire production team. Catie’s commitment to our clients is unparalleled, offering a high level of service and achieving client goals, on time and within budget.

Tom Johnston

Business Manager

Our resident accountant and business manager, Tom infuses a wide range of management skills into our company. Human resources, bookkeeping, insurance forms and general business contracts are just a few of the tasks that Tom manages on a day to day basis. With his 35 years of managerial expertise, Tom’s focus is to keep our organization running with a fluid and highly efficient process.


Kristin Dieckmann

Creative Design Manager

Kristin is a native New Yorker with ample experience working in the NYC area. She graduated from SUNY Purchase and has worked in the event design industry ever since. Prior to joining our team as the Creative Design Manager, Kristin honed her skills designing large scale holiday displays throughout the tristate area. Her incredible technical skills, joined with a stylish commitment to the design industry, allows her expertise to shine in every event we produce.
